Green River Community College in Auburn is among four two-year schools in Washington who are competing in the Northwest Community College Football League. The league is the brainchild of Algona-resident and NCCFL President Kory Hill, who has spent the past four years laboring to reinstate junior college football in Washington State. The last community or junior college in the state to offer football was Walla Walla Community College, whose program ended in 1996.
