The night is underway inside Arco Arena in Sacramento at World Extreme Cagefighting’s (WEC) first-ever pay-per-view event. Decatur High School graduate Ben Henderson is set to fight in the second-to-last fight of the night for the WEC’s 155-pound lightweight championship.
If everything goes as planned, Henderson’s bout against Donald Cerrone will get going about 9 p.m.
This will be the second time the two have fought. Henderson beat Cerrone last year in an epic five-round decision. Their bout was voted mixed martial arts’ fight of the year by many media outlets.
I will be reporting live from WEC 48 in Sacramento all night.
