State basketball rankings

December 9th, 2009 at Wed, 9th, 2009 at 12:11 pm by caseyolson

Now that we’re a week into the boys and girls basketball season, it’s time to do some rankings.
Below is a look at how Sound Publishing’s Class 3A and Class 4A boys and girls state rankings panned out. It’s important to note that many sports writers in the company, which owns the Mirror, along with paper’s like the Auburn, Kent and Renton Reporters, voted on this  poll.
Interestingly, there are four teams from the SPSL North in the girls rankings. The rankings reflect records before last night’s (Dec. 8) games.
In the Class 4A boys rankings, Federal Way is unquestionably No. 1 and Beamer and Decatur are also in the top-10. Jefferson failed to make the top-10, despite beating Beamer. The Raiders were beaten last night by Kent-Meridian.
