WEC 48

April 24th, 2010 at Sat, 24th, 2010 at 4:57 pm by caseyolson

The atmosphere inside Arco Arena is already electric. There are 11 total bouts scheduled in Sacramento, which should equal out to about six hours of total fighting.

Henderson and Cerrone will fight the second to last match of the night. The main event is scheduled to be Urijah Faber against Jose Aldo. Faber “The California Kid” is from Sacramento and is the main reason why the 15,000-seat arena is sold out.

But Aldo is the WEC’s 145-pound champion and one of the most dominant fighters currently in the world.

More to come…

Tyler Toner beat Brandon Visher in the opening match of the night with a TKO 2:36 into the first round. In the second match of the night Japan’s Takeya Mizugaki beat Brazil’s Rani Yahya by a unanimous decision.
