Regarding his endorsements, he seems to have a few based on what is contained on his website. He certainly has much less support from the legal community than his challengers, and his actions are well known within the legal community statewide.

Judge Morgan’s actions speak for themselves. He was reprimanded by the Commission on Judicial Conduct, investigated by the City for creating a hostile work environment, and he sued the City to keep that investigation quiet. The information contained in these investigations is all based on first hand information provided by court clerks, attorneys, the Commission, and Judge Morgan himself. He admitted to much of the activity for which he received a reprimand. Criticism regarding this behavior is not unfair, it is necessary given his position.

I would encourage any voter to look at my ratings and qualifications. I have been rated “Well Qualified” by the King County Bar Association, have been endorsed by the Federal Way Mirror, Tacoma News Tribune, the Democrats, the Women’s Political Caucus, and numerous judges, attorneys, and law enforcement. I have been a prosecutor for nine years and a Judge Pro-Tempore for two years in various jurisdictions in King County. I serve as Chair of the Criminal Law Section and Co-Chair of the Criminal Justice Institute. I have dedicated my career to municipal criminal law because I feel that municipal courts are ground zero for crime prevention. Federal Way needs a judge who is professional, ethical, respectful and respected, and experienced in criminal misdemeanor law. I am the only candidate who has all of those qualities.
